Volunteer with Girls On The Run

Kent County Girls on the Run serves over 2,000 girls each year. With our small staff, we rely on volunteers to assist with many different aspects of our organization. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved at a variety of different times and in many different ways. Please take a look at our opportunities to determine what works best for your schedule. We look forward to using your time and talents to help inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident!

GOTR Coach

Coaching a Girls on the Run program is the most rewarding way to get involved. We have opportunities for both Coach and assistant coaches within KCGOTR. Both Volunteer Coaches serve as role models and mentors for the girls who participate in GOTR. On each team, 2-3 female or male coaches deliver the GOTR curriculum, twice a week for an hour and 15 min to groups of 8-15 girls. Coaches are not required to be runners, they simply must be passionate about the mission of Girls on the Run, committed to working with a group of girls throughout the 10 week season and able to bring energy and joy to each practice.

Coach apps for the 2017 Girls on the Run season will be available mid October. Please check back during that time for our site list and availability.
